Lots of ppl jogging here and there, even during lunch hours. Australians really love sports.
That is a swimming pool.. and THOSE are warships, yes. Later all kena bombed by testfires...

Anyway legend has it that if a couple were to sit around macquaries point, they will BREAK! talk about sad facts of life...
Next i dropped by the arts gallery since its a few metres away, and free admission hehe... Not a person who can appreciate paintings and sculptures though so i dun really enjoy the place much.

But i do love these haha... made from pieces of junk and scrap metals. beautiful isn't it.

I love this one too. Titled: 'Descent from the cross'... yup that's Jesus
Next is the opera house itself. Nice to take pics around, but not allowed to go inside though unless there's a performance going on.

Nice cleavage here haha...
The ticketing booth

Check out these crazy parking rates. Considered an attraction to me. coo...ool
Structure of the carpark
History of how the carpark was built
Didnt go to circular quay though, kinda missed it. But no point going there unless we are taking ferries or jets around.
Next is Bondi Beach. The pics... 'nuff said. They are just chio, can. How many places can you find such a clean and blue waters, tall waves, beautiful sunshine, sprawling clouds and a refreshing breeze.

The houses beside the bondi beach. Would Like to stay here haha... but tsunami? The End! Gone! Wan Dan!
Somewhere nearby is Bondi Junction, which is a bloody big shopping mall. Vivocity is so out! haha...
Bought a damn nice leather shoe for just around fifty bucks at a discounted price, which was originally three digits. 75% sale! and look at all these nice heels, feel like buying one pair to poke ppl around
Chocolate confectioneries
Long bars of nougats. ($18 though)
one yard of chocolates. Wonder where it ends haha...
These are actually marshmallows, not bread sandwiches

multi-coloured spirits. Mix and match your own vials
look at those pups. talk about drew's soft spot for cute stuffs =D
Bought a basket for my toiletries for $9.95. Not bad. Walk away fewling happy and heads up high. But a few stores down, i found a japanese HotDollar store selling bigger baskets for like one dollar two dollars liddat. Basket!
Some of the things that i bought over there for a cheap price.
3 Dishcloths (1 set) - $2
Wastepaper basket aka Dustbin - $2.50
Set of 8 Clotheshanger - $2.99
Door Rack - $2.50
Melanine Plates - $2.00 each
5 bars of soap - $2.20 for all
2008 Organiser - $0.90 !!!
Can even find a good dictionary for $2 and combination lock for about $3
So, fellow newcoming noobs, dun need to spam daily stuffs into your luggage cuz there are places where you can get them for really cheap!
OKay now for some tips on mobile phone lines. (FYI its not called hp. Handphones are just land phones where you can carry around your house on your hand, which is what we call cordless phones. Over here they call it mobiles)
smses here are bo hua, cuz each sms cost a freeking one dollar credit. Even for a $30 dollar plan directed more towards sms users, u can only send 60! in a month!
As you know there are vodafone, optus, 3 and telstra. Those are the more prominent phone services.
For the monthly plans (Cap services), all the providers goes more or less along the same values
$19 Cap - $50 credit (optus)
$29 Cap - $120 credit (3)
$49 Cap - $300 credit (3); $310 credit (vodafone); $300 credit (optus)
$69 Cap - $550 credit (3)
$79 Cap - $800 credit (3); $550 credit (vodafone); $550 credit (optus)
there are up to $179 Cap plan but i wun go that far haha... as you can see, vodafone is better for lower end caps while 3 is the best for higher end caps ($69 onwards)
smses here are bo hua, cuz each sms cost a freeking 25 cents credit. Even for a $30 dollar plan directed more towards smsers, u can only send 60txt in a month + $30 credit! (vodafone)
3 is my personal favourite, since they have the best offer for phone plans. And calling other 3 users is free. Calling among vodafone users is NOT free! just cheaper only.
However, for those using prepaid, they dun sell the prepaid cards in alot of places, including the campus.
Anyway some of their contract plans are really good. If you sign up a $29 plan with 3, you can get a K800i FREE! and if you get the $49 plan, you can get a 5megapixels phone camera FREE!!!
dammit i would have taken that straight away if i am still in singapore. But the salesperson said new students shouldnt sign a plan first because we might be overcommitting ourselves. Cancellation charges cost a bomb! (abt$25 x months left for $49 cap. Higher caps muz pay more)
On the other hand, Prepaid Cards, unlike singapore, are much more hua suan. More people use prepaid cards instead of monthly plans actually. The only drawbacks are it lasts for a month & NO FREE PHONE!!!
Prepaid services for vodafone:
$29cap = $130 credit
$49cap = $310 credit (best value!)
$79cap = $500 credit
$149cap = $1000 credit
btw all the pics i have posted up so far are not taken with a camera. They are taken with my dear lizzie (Nokia N73) and she can achieve such desirable qualities. kewl right? (yaya named my N73 as Elizabeth A. Nokie, which i later nicknamed Lizzie) Get 3.2 megapixels cam phone because they are simply SEXY!
haha kk covered on phone lines. I still have to write about bus and other transport services, because they are actually not as simple as singapore.
In singapore its only mrt bus and taxis. Here we have trains, trams, monorails, light rails, buses and taxis. cheem right? haha...
kk miss ya guys! esp my dearest 14o5 haha...
