This post is kinda late, but this is the first time i've gone online (in a long time) in 2008 hahaha...
Anyway had a great new year countdown. Lots of fireworks around, since fireworks aren't banned in indo. They're even widely sold even along the streets.
Anyway, went to Sis Elisabeth's house for New Year countdown, with some of my church friends. Had steamboat and BBQ under the neverending fireworks, played uno and other cards etc etc.
The only drawback is THE RAIN. ugh... So a few fireworks ended up wet and thrown away. wasted! some even didnt make it to the sky and exploded at ground level. very scary, but no one was hurt haha.
At the 0000 mark, the sky was filled with fireworks EVERYWHERE. Government fireworks, domestic fireworks, and even cheap fireworks that tried it's best to impress but became a shame.
Its reaallly reallly fun ahahahaha... A few of our neighbours got together and competed with other neighbourhoods, to see who got the most fireworks. It went on for about an hour, and the fireworks' still going. Watch until neck pain sia.
Went home around 3 plus in the midnight and have to go to church early in the morning the next day ahahaha...
