Hmm shall post some pics on some of the new malls of indo that i have been to. First up:
Grand Indonesia:
This is the newest shopping center now in jkt. Most of the shops arnt even open yet, but the cinema itself has already attracted alot of people.
Consist of 2 blocks connected by multilevel bridge. Then there is 3 districts in total: Specialty district, main mall district and Crossroads of the World (CoW!?)
CoW is then further divided to 4 districts: Garden district; fashion district; market district and entertainment district. The 3 largest tenant are: Seibu (a japan department store), Food Louver and Blitz Megaplex.
This is the pic of the food court, called the Food Louver. Slick entrance haha...
and once inside, the interior design is amazing. If u look carefully, the tables are arranged one per row and has a compartment for each. So ppl can eat with more privacy haha...
and then this one was taken at the second floor. Overlooking the third floor, can see the design of a chinatown haha... with all the prettie lanterns.
And the cinema, Blitz Megaplex. It has a few storeys of theatres. No longer called theaters though, now its auditorium. *woah* The one i watched at was audi 7. Wonder how many are there. Cant take pics of the cinema itself becoz alot of guards there and they dun allow ppl to voyeur on the interior design. Mmmm...
And here comes the best, behold: the toilet.
People are made to pee in the dark. Why? shy? no... maybe if its too bright it will be too intimidating. This is a very delicate business we are talking about, so people must be made as comfortable as possible in the most suitable ambiance: darkness.
But the designers are smart la. If its too dark then aiming will be compromised. So, specially for each cubicle, they made: a Runway. Its also lighted up, symbolic like a Stairway to Heaven, like how people feel relieved when a huge burden is lifted off their shoulders.
But then again if its too blinding people also cant see... haiz
Senayan City
i only took one pic for this becoz i was busy looking around haha... the main square is well built. Its beautiful and really shows how big the entire building is. With 7 floors with 3 basements, its really biiig.
Btw karen while i was taking this, behind me is juz Krispy Kreme haha...
Taman Anggrek
Translated as Orchid Garden in english)
This one has been around ever since before i migrate to singapore. So its been around for like 10 years, but its still well maintained and remained the most popular mall in jkt haha...

yup thats all haha. these are the 3 malls i've been to for last week. And above all, some pics of myself haha...
Some newfound frenz :D
