East Coast Outing

Today is the East Coast outing for my class...We have been planning for about a week..., to spend the last few moments together before the partings....

We met at Bedok MRT at 1pm. I was a bit late because I rushed back to Bugis to buy Naruto 26 after seeing someone on the MRT reading it. I bought a few Marvel comics there also... Most of my classmates were there... Took a bus to East Coast park.

First activity in line: cycling. We rented bikes and cycled around east coast park for an hour, while the rest went roller-blading. It had been a long time since I cycled so freely around.

Then we had games. The guys use the empty field to play soccer, but due to the hot weather, we did not play long. Another reason is because the gals got nothing to play and they looked so helpless and pitiful. So we played frisbee on the beach, with the gals. Haha... It is much more enjoyable than playing soccer.

Hot weather. Scorched, burnt, fried and crisped, the guys decided to take a swim in the sea. (It is such a pity that the gals didn't join us in the fun. *sigh*....) Haha.... the waves were enjoyable and fun. The waves were strong and the day began to grow windy. After the long soak, we basked in the sun on the sands. After that, we swim again. That is when the unfortunate event happened.

After swimming for so long, I realised my wallet is still in my pocket. Wet and sandy, I left my wallet on the sand to dry up, then resume with my swim. We even watched a tug-of-war match of the group near us. Then, my wallet is gone, because there is a high-tide at that point of time. Either it got carried away by the waves, or it is buried into the sands carried by the wave. *sigh*... to think that I love the waves. I tried to dig up the beach for my wallet, but the sands looked flat and the same everywhere. I gave up searching for it and decided to forget abt it and just carry on with the activity.

It started to turn dark. After bathing, some of us watched the sunset together. It looks so romantic and beautiful. Then, we had our BBQ. It took quite long for them to set up the fire. (Dat's when I stepped in to help cuz I am experienced in lighting fires. Opps...) We cooked a lot of foods and ate together, while chatting and telling ghost stories. We had a good time then, enjoying with one another, taking a lot of pictures of us.

10 pm. It became very dark and some of us got freaked out after the ghost stories. (not me) After a few shots together, we went off together. I took a taxi home. The taxi driver was very friendly. We talked a lot about JC stuff, how his daughter got president scholarship and graduated from RGS and RJC, his son currently in VJC. He even taught me how to study smart and motivated me to study well. Haha... nice guy, luv him.

Dat's all for the day. Even though I lost my wallet and got at least 5 injuries all over, I still had a good time. Haha... 13/05 rawks!!!

My Daily Bread:

Where do wars and fights come from among you?
Do they not come from your desires for pleasure?
James 4:1
When anger lingers in our hearts,
It poisons all we think and do;
But faith seeks ways to show God's love
And keeps our spirit strong and true. -- D. De Haan

Song

New Song in My Heart
Emu Music

1. Put a new song in my heart
Let me hear the praises start
Dispell the night
And give me light again

2. Put a new thought in my mind
Help me leave the past behind
And break these chains
That I might live again

Lift my fallen face
and help me to stand
Flood me with the grace
That comes from your hand
Cleanse me from my sin
Lord, forgive me again
That I might be yours alone

3. Put a new fire in my soul
Make this wounded spirit whole
And help me see
That I am free again

Let these broken bones
Rise up and rejoice
Bring this captive home
And lift up my voice
Help my spirit sing
Now to Jesus my king
For he has forgiven me

Lift my fallen face
And help me to stand
Flood me with the grace
That comes from your hand
Cleanse me from my sin
Lord, forgive me again
That I might be yours alone
